POSITION SUMMARY 

Key Responsibilities 

This position is responsible for driving sales efforts across Acima’s national footprint and within the company’s 7 regions. Partnering with Acima Senior Leadership, Regional Vice Presidents and Upbound Enterprise Leaders the incumbent will identify, prospect, negotiate and close new retailer partnerships to exceed the top line targets of the organization. The incumbent will have experience winning new profitable retailer partnerships and ensuring a high level of service and engagement.  The Vice President of National Sales will contribute to the achievements of the Sales organization through extensive knowledge of the Acima business, its product offerings and how best to deliver these products to ensure long term merchant success. This position reports directly to the SVP Revenue of Acima. 

  • Responsible and accountable for personal sales pipeline with a primary focus on Regional, National, Enterprise and E-commerce opportunities. 

  • Creates, plans, and executes personal sales strategies with the goal of driving revenue, profit margin, and market share. 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource to the broader Acima sales organization and provide peerless support for a “one team” sales strategy that enables cohesiveness and shared achievements  

  • Keeps leadership informed of large opportunities, problems, progress, and support needed. 

  • Develops and maintains current knowledge of competitor policies, programs, pricing and products, and readily shares findings with Acima Field Sales leaders. 

  • Provide regular status updates regarding personal sales efforts, leveraging quantitative pipeline data within Acima’s Salesforce CRM related to assigned objectives for both volume and profitability Maintain up to date, accurate sales stage data and notes within Salesforce.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 5+ years of senior sales experience within the fintech sector  

  • 5+ years proven experience prospecting and closing profitable retailer partnerships  

  • Extensive experience selling B2B financial services products into a merchant/retailer  

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding personal sales goals on a consistent basis and revenue growth delivery 

  • Exceptional relationship management, organizational and communication skills. 

  • Expert knowledge of the full sales cycle and working with business owners and executives 

  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques 

  • An aptitude for understanding how products and solutions solve business problems. 

  • Passionate relationship building and negotiating skills. 

  • Proven experience in a highly consultative, B2B(2C) sales environment. 

  • Demonstrated experience driving year-over-year growth, with a history of identifying and expanding into new markets/territories. 

  • Hands-on, high-energy, “get it done” mindset  

  • Advanced merchant relationship management and communication skills  

  • Proficient in Salesforce and other traditional sales CRM and reporting platforms 

 

EDUCATION 

A bachelor’s degree is preferred or a combination of education and/or experience within the payments and/or lease-to-own industry.
