Consumer Regulatory Compliance Analyst
JOB PURPOSE: Provide support to the Rent-A-Center (RAC) and Acima Leasing segments to strengthen the Upbound Consumer Regulatory Compliance Program (“Compliance”).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize technical writing skills to assist the Compliance department with the following:
- Responding to regulatory complaints/actions.
- Drafting policies and procedures.
- Conducting legal research.
- Assist in documenting and driving the Compliance issue resolution process across the organization to effectively meet objectives as outlined by management.
- Work cross-functionally across the organization to track, trend and report on the company’s emerging risk matters as defined in the program.
- Develop and publish periodic reporting to various levels of management, including detailed compliance risk identification and mapping.
- Other tasks/initiatives may include:
- Develop testing and monitoring protocols.
- Partner with key functions to catalog Compliance-related policies, procedures, training, job aids and other related governance materials.
- Document, review and enhance internal department policies/procedures and related materials.
- Review and enhance external department policies/procedures and related materials.
- Help assign and manage company Compliance testing
- Ad-hoc projects/tasks as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Understanding of applicable state and federal laws, including the FCRA, FDCPA, UDAP, ECOA, EFTA, and TCPA preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical and time management skills required.
- Possess a people-first mentality and demonstrate the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Must have the desire and ability to learn new concepts.
- Ability to interpret complex issues and effectively communicate those concepts to others in the business at various levels in the organization.
- Comfortable with public speaking, presentations, and leading training classes.
- Professional demeanor.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Must be detail oriented and proficient at executing individual and collaborative tasks to meet department and company-wide objectives.
Schedule and Hours
Full-Time position is available, working regular office hours.
