Consumer Regulatory Compliance Analyst 

JOB PURPOSE: Provide support to the Acima Leasing Regulatory Compliance Department (“Compliance Department”) to maintain and enhance the Consumer Regulatory Compliance Management System (“Reg. CMS”).   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Utilize technical writing skills to assist the Compliance Department with the following:  
  • Responding to consumer complaints. 
  • Drafting policies and procedures. 
  • Conducting legal research. 
  • Assist in documenting and driving the Corrective Action process across the organization to effectively meet objectives as outlined in the Reg. CMS. 
  • Work cross-functionally across the organization to track, trend and report on emerging regulatory risk matters. 
  • Develop and publish periodic reporting to various levels of management, including detailed trend and root cause analysis of consumer complaints. 
  • Assist in the development and execution of regulatory compliance monitoring and testing processes.  
  • Participate in the annual Regulatory Compliance Risk Assessment.  
  • Support the Reg. CMS employee training program.  
  • Assist in executing the independent third-party retailer monitoring process.  
  • Other tasks/initiatives may include:  
  • Partner with key functions to catalog compliance-related policies, procedures, training, job aids and other related governance materials. 
  • Document, review and enhance internal department policies/procedures and related materials. 
  • Ad-hoc projects/tasks as assigned. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • 1+ year prior regulatory compliance experience. 
  • Understanding of state and federal consumer protection laws, such as FCRA, FDCPA, UDAP, ECOA, EFTA, and TCPA preferred 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams. 
  • Proficient in Word and Excel. 
  • Strong analytical and time management skills required. 
  • Possess a people-first mentality and demonstrate the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. 
  • Must have the desire and ability to learn new concepts. 
  • Ability to interpret complex issues and effectively communicate those concepts to others in the business at various levels in the organization. 
  • Comfortable with public speaking, presentations, and leading training classes.  
  • Professional demeanor. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. 
  • Must be detail oriented and proficient at executing individual and collaborative tasks to meet department and company-wide objectives. 

 

Schedule and Hours 

Full-Time position is available, working regular office hours. 

Compensation
